We are excited to announce that the official abstract submission portal for DBI2026 – the Decarbonising the Building Industry International Conference – is open until the 30 June 2026. This timeline provides researchers, practitioners, and industry professionals with time to prepare and submit high-quality abstracts for the premier international event focused on reducing carbon emissions in the building sector.
DBI2026 will take place on 19–20 November 2026 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, in partnership with the 12th International Conference on Innovative Production and Construction (IPC2026). The conference will bring together leading researchers, industry experts, and policymakers to share innovative research, practical case studies, and forward-thinking solutions for decarbonising the built environment.
We welcome abstracts of up to 300 words that align with one of the following key themes:
- Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Construction
- Application of Innovative Technologies in Construction
- Decarbonised and Re-usable Building Materials
- Operational Emissions Reduction
- Prefabricated and Modular Building
- Sustainable Construction Policies and Circularity Practices
- Decarbonising Data Centre Infrastructure
Selected high-quality papers presented at the conference will also be invited to submit extended versions to special issues in leading international journals, offering an excellent opportunity to increase the visibility and impact of your work.
